$32.730 - $40.910 - $45.810The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
Provides supervision for Sharp hospital support staff float pool employees, remote patient observers, and support staff. Supports staffing office functions in conjunction with the manager. Serves as a liaison to various sites throughout Sharp Hospitals to maintain open communication related to staffing needs and processes.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
- 3 Years experience in an administrative, business office, or related role in a healthcare setting.
- 1 Year recent leadership experience.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

- Bachelor's Degree
- 1 Year hospital staffing experience.
Essential Functions
- Communication and Teamwork
Facilitates communication that results in improved teamwork and/or building more effective relationships within the department, client departments, employees and other SHC departments.

Suggest enhancements which improve performance and quality of Admin Support Services processes.

Demonstrates teamwork by documented participation in committees, task forces, special activities or projects. - Department Oversight
Coordinate new hire/transfer/termination process for Admin Support Services. Examples of tasks include but not limited to interviewing, reference checks, physical, new hire paperwork, new employee orientation and appropriate unit orientations and education.
Coordinates and monitors the orientation process for new employees, and for employees who are cross training to new areas.
Supports staffing office functions in conjunction with the manager assuring staffing needs for departments are balanced and established staffing guidelines, contractual language and other relevant policy procedures are followed.
Monitor trends for staffing gaps for new roles and implement and operationalize as needed/requested.
Works to ensure that outside registry usage is minimized and use of available SHC resources is maximized. Includes but is not limited to the following components:
* Prepares/analyzes staffing data related to float pool area as requested to determine hiring and staffing needs.
* Liaisons with central staffing office and entity based staffing offices related to upcoming and ongoing staffing needs.
* Develop/maintain specific department profiles regarding work environment, minimum requirements, work hours, etc.
* Works with Recruitment Department to ensure continuous, effective recruiting efforts for departments based on client feedback and staffing data trends.
* Performs leader rounding on employees through the entity hospital. - Human Resource Management
Manage employee performance in a positive and constructive manner including corrective action.
Ensures performance evaluations (90 day and annual) are completed on time.
Provides clinical expertise in coaching staff to resolve performance issues or to enhance performance.
Communicates with departments to ensure adequate performance feedback (used for day-to-day coaching and/or annual performance evaluations).
Ensures appropriate stakeholders are informed of issues/concerns that relate to client areas, employees or Admin Support Services department in a timely manner.
Assures the Admin Support Staff employees are educated and compliant in a timely manner to all current SHC and regulatory standards, and documentation is evident in employees' personnel record.
Competencies: Ensures all employees meet appropriate competencies (initial and annual). Works with entity education department to coordinate competency process.
New Hires/Transfer Employees: Ensures employee personnel records are current to meet the regulatory and policy standards for new hire or transfer employees.
Scheduling/Staffing: Ensures that processes are in place with client areas to capture accurate scheduling and staffing data.
Discrepancies/Variations: Noted/explained in personnel record. Monitors policy and procedure compliance within the float pool. Ensures staff is educated to changes as appropriate. - Payroll Processing
Reviews department employees' timecard entries in electronic timecard system to ensure employees are compensated appropriately. Understand multiple union contracts ensuring they are being followed related to timecard entry.
Review and approve timecards for submission by deadline.
Ensures that timecard reflects staffing data.
Runs and reviews timecard reports throughout the pay period to monitor exception messages and take necessary action.
Provides feedback to employees when deviations are identified on timecards as established by payroll guidelines.
