$38.440 - $49.610 - $60.770The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. What You Will Do
Entry level position for onsite support, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of Sharp HealthCare (SHC) Information Systems infrastructure hardware and on call support to critical 24 hour units.
Required Qualifications
- 3 Years Experience system support teams with, installing, configuring, monitoring and supporting multiple technologies in high availability 24/7 production environments.
- Experience with endpoint and environment management and monitoring systems.
- Experience with enterprise incident ticketing inventory control systems. imaging and performance monitoring.
- Experience in supporting devices such as: Desktops, Laptops/Tablets, Printers, Peripheral's, Mobile Phones, etc. Computer network skills related to architecture fundamentals, protocols, and troubleshooting.
- Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED
- CompTIA A+ - CompTIA OR CompTIA Network+ - CompTIA OR CompTIA Security+ - CompTIA -REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) - Citrix -PREFERRED
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) - Various-Employee provides certificate -PREFERRED
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) - Various-Employee provides certificate -PREFERRED
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Various-Employee provides certificate -PREFERRED
Other Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information systems, or related field. Relevant experience in excess of two (2) years and appropriate certifications may be substituted. - Required
- Additional Asset for position: IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL); HP Certified Warranty Technician; Lenovo Certified Warranty Technician; LANDesk Certified Administrator.
Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Customer Satisfaction
Ensure that patient satisfaction scores are positively impacted by our services and avoid negatively impacting staff or equipment.
Minimize disruption caused by repair activities through effective communication with affected staff.
Consistently maintain professional and productive relationships with all patient, physician, staff, and third party customers. - Documentation and Change Management
Create and maintain incident resolution documentation such that troubleshooting and remediation steps are well documented and communicated, enabling the continuation of resolution efforts by other technical staff when the assigned primary resource is unavailable.
Documentation is kept up-to-date and is readily available.
Implement enterprise practices for change management processes and communication so that the highest levels of system stability and reliability are maintained. - Hardware and Infrastructure Implementation and Support
Partner with infrastructure and systems administration and application support personnel to ensure adequate functionality is maintained.
Provide incident resolution and hardware break fix using enterprise ticketing system.
Round clinical and business units regularly to provide proactive problem resolution and develop customer relationships. - Inventory Control
Maintain enterprise inventory accuracy through provided systems.
Track and document all equipment moves and replacements.
Maintain allocated repair stocks as assigned.
Provide repair and replacement services with vendors as assigned. - On-Call Responsibilities
Participate in team on call rotations, including 24-hour primary and 60-hour secondary shifts as scheduled.
Rounding and additional on call shifts as assigned.
Travel on site at any hour when on call to respond to urgent incidents including equipment moves. - Problem Solving
Utilize effective problem solving techniques within department and team best practices to implement approved solutions and resolve problems.
Notice abnormalities and communicate them right away.
Follow standard work practices and work to continuously improve standards. - Process Management
Execute team processes for specialized operations as designed with partner teams.
Provide feedback for process improvement. - System Configuration and Testing
Provide onsite testing and troubleshooting as assigned.
Execute test plans for technology solutions to ensure optimum system performance, stability, and reliability including validating documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to be flexible and work in a rapidly and constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of Change Management practices and adherence to ITIL principles.
- Understanding and experience with Windows Operating Systems, including registry, NTFS, security, and user accounts.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, documentation skills, and experience in a large (5000+ user) enterprise environment.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with all levels of personnel.
- Position is required to travel to other Sharp Healthcare sites, must have ability to travel.
- Ability to fulfill on call duties as scheduled with own transportation.
