$56.580 - $70.170 - $83.760The stated pay scale reflects the range as defined by the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Professional Nurses Network, United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, NUHHCE, AFSME, AFL-CIO. Placement within the range is based on years of RN experience.
What You Will Do
To provide direct and indirect breastfeeding management, education and advocacy services to a patients, families and staff members.
Required Qualifications
- 3 Years Experience counseling breastfeeding mothers.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) - International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners -REQUIRED
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED
Essential Functions
- Collaboration
Collaborates or seeks additional resources as needed in the management of complex, new/unusual or other high-risk clinical situations. - Lactation Assistance
Provides lactation services/assistance care to patient and family that progresses towards self-identified, holistic an individualized breastfeeding goals. - Nursing Assessment
Performs nursing process through individualized assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic, effective care for patient. - Patient and Family Advocate
Serves as patient and family advocate in ensuring excellent and satisfying care. - Quality
Promotes quality breastfeeding/lactation outcomes.
