Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$39.435 - $50.884 - $62.333


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
To promote and sell Sharp HealthCare and continuum to the public and health care community improving service linkages, maximizing care continuity and satisfaction. To support the department in multi-service business and program development. To serve as a consultant for both internal and external customers. This position is also responsible for the development and implementation of annual and quarterly marketing plans. Accountable for implementation of marketing initiatives to achieve annual and monthly business marketing plan volume objectives. Responsible for ensuring business retention and acquisition opportunities are seized and maintained.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or in a health care related field.
  • 5 Years sales experience.

Essential Functions
  • Communication
    Initiates and facilitates critical communication between Sharp Senior Centers and professional referral sources regarding service capabilities, admission criteria, treatment guidelines, outcomes and ongoing service needs (this is measured by volume indicators identified in the Business/Marketing Plan annually).
    Maintains membership in networking organizations that provide an ROI and serves on facility/agency advisory boards to strengthen external relationships and raise visibility and establish expertise the health care community. Provides qualitative presentations to these organizations for Sharp Senior Centers and also facilitates the ability of the organization to host meetings at Sharp Senior Centers.
    Designs, packages/brands and distributes informational/educational materials tailored to referral source and community needs including effective use of Brochures, Direct Mail Campaigns, advertising and Web Communication to increase customer knowledge of service capabilities, admission criteria, screening, referral process and utilization review.
  • Financial and volume
    Achieves annual and monthly business marketing plan volume objectives
    Develops contracting network partnerships.
    Initiates contractual discussions for new business opportunities with health care providers and payers.
  • Program development
    Evaluates market trends and provides feedback to management. Offer recommendations for program/service development and enhancement to ensure market position/share is maintained inclusive of ongoing analysis of referral satisfaction trends. (Summary reports monthly and quarterly to management).
    Evaluates, recommends and provides education re: customer service and program improvements to strengthen Sharp Senior Centers interface and value among community constituencies and referrals sources. Integral role with the operational arm of the Entity providing added value.
  • Strategic planning
    Develops and implements key territory management systems to monitor referral source patterns and utilization. Reports activity by referral source; and appropriately/strategically adjusts plans to ensure business retention and acquisition opportunities are seized and maintained. (Monthly management reporting).
    Achieve/exceed stated goals including goals for the number of: a) Cold calls; b) Sales Appointments with physicians, medical groups, case mangers, etc.; c) Lunch and Learns (CEU Presentations).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Highly skilled in sales, customer service, marketing and business development strategies.
