$44.660 - $57.630 - $70.590The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
Support of the Construction division of Facilities Management and Development Department.
In-office 3 days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5 Years related experience in construction, facilities, project coordination and/or project management.
- Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
Other Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 4 years of related experience in construction, facilities, project coordination and/or project management may substitute for degree. - Required
- Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Administrative Responsibilities
Provides Manager and customers with a verbal or written report when required on project and task status demonstrating adherence to schedule and effective utilization of time and resources.
Adhere to Safety Policies and Procedures.
Maintains weekly project status reports. - Financial Management
Responsible for the development and adherence to project budgets for capital projects under the supervision of this position. Reports variances to the Manager of Facilities Management and Development.
Maintains knowledge of process, entity requirements, short term and long term corporate goals with sensitivity to individual entity requirements. - Project Coordination
Assist departmental representatives in assessing feasibility, developing project requirements, and identifying operational impact to the department and associate departments for proposed renovation and/or construction projects.
Prepare project funding requests and other necessary documentation required for the approval of the project.
Responsible for developing, with the department representative and contractor, the project schedule and adherence to the schedule.
Monitors and inspects work in progress. Assures quality and compliance with plans, specifications, regulatory codes and the budget/schedule. Assesses the work performed by the contractors related to the above. - Quality and Customer Service
All dealings with customers and staff should be conducted in a positive, professional and cooperative manner.
Assures that communication between all Project Team members is timely and complete.
Maintains a positive relationship with FMD customers; respond to internal and external customer in a timely manner and follow up to assure that customer needs are met.
This position requires communication with all levels of internal and external clients. Professional responses, both written and verbal are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of contract law, design process, construction documents, cost estimating, building codes, project development and project management.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
- Must demonstrate excellent organization and decision-making skills.
- Must work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Establishes priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
- Effective interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with various personalities within the Sharp HealthCare system.
- Must be able to develop a means to keep others informed of progress on project and items that need a decision.
- Effective and concise written communication skills.
