Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$82.927 - $107.003 - $131.079


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
Responsible for collaborating with leadership to provide strategic and architectural direction, support project development and execution, and manage multiple teams providing day-to-day operational support across the enterprise for: • Enterprise portfolio of data and voice services (MAN, WAN, LAN, Internet, SIP, firewalls) • Distributed compute (server) and ancillary services (DHCP, DNS, DC, etc) • Storage and database services • Contact Center technical services • Private and Commercial Cloud providers and environments • Internal and colocation data centers, commercial cloud deployments and on-prem communication equipment rooms Leads evaluation of new and existing infrastructure technology to determine priorities, allocate resources, establish project schedules and cost estimates to ensure timely acquisition, implementation, integrity and security of infrastructure and applications. Monitors technology advances, executes trade studies, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and Proof of Concept testing. Recommends and plans for the acquisition and adoption of technology and other innovations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field of study.
  • 5 Years increasingly responsible information technology project/program management experience that included a broad scope of technical, professional and/or management experience with extensive interaction at all levels of management and staff.
  • 7 Years IT work experience including managing teams responsible for IT infrastructure including public/private cloud, networks, security, servers, databases, storage, circuit portfolios, contact center systems, data centers, and local site communications facilities.
  • Must have experience managing numerous concurrent projects and managing multiple deliverables. Must have experience with project management leadership on significant enterprise level IT projects with defined schedule and deliverables. Working knowledge of scheduling, resource management and cost control.

Essential Functions
  • Key Responsibilities
    Prepares long and short-range plans to deliver solutions that meet current and future IT requirements.
    Makes recommendations for technologies which will support and further application, system, device, and other modality operation and service delivery.
    Leads the development of processes to incorporate the principles of successful IT operation into daily and periodic management.
    Successfully manages concurrent projects throughout Sharp HealthCare in support of system objectives and strategies, ensuring timely completion while delivering on agreed outcomes.
    Investigates and resolves complex problems and coordinates efforts to support strategies and provide innovative solutions.
    Monitors and reports overall performance of information systems on a regular basis to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
    Manages the IS departmental budget in a manner that is consistent with the organization’s operational objectives. Ensures that expenditures are within the financial guidelines established in the capital and operating budgets.
    Evaluates vendor proposals for software, hardware and technical services to assure adherence to technical guidelines and standards.
    Communicates the Sharp HealthCare vision, goals and strategies to build awareness and commitment within the department. Maintains open communication channels to keep staff informed of important situations and developments within the enterprise.
    Responsible for human resources functions, including interviewing, hiring, counseling, appraising, and terminating employees. Identifies personnel development needs, provides training opportunities, and conducts annual reviews for employees. Promotes staff retention and career development.
    Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
    Provides leadership and instills a sense of urgency to quickly resolve enterprise impacting major incidents, determine root cause of disruptions and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
  • Infrastructure Systems Management
    Directs Managers and staff in support of enterprise infrastructure initiatives, operations and support for Sharp HealthCare (all business entities). Ensures reliable, effective and efficient infrastructure systems, services and applications.
    Directs infrastructure platform, architecture and infrastructure technologies to develop strategic direction and plans for infrastructure systems to support daily operations as well as future organizational change.
    Develop and manage annual capital and operating budgets and recommends the staffing and related resources needed to support the infrastructure cost center(s).
    Promote effective and efficient communication among all entities, staff, patients, physicians and communities.
    Maintain business relationships with key vendors.
    Develops technology standards and ensures adherence to them for support, development and operations.
    Monitor industry trends and changing infrastructure technology and cost models as well as strategies to optimize infrastructure system costs to support the business needs.
  • Device/Application Integration
    Ensures that infrastructure technology teams assess all devices and applications intended to connect to the infrastructure network for technical Compatibility with the current and planned architecture and security objectives.
    Collaborates with senior leadership to identify and acquire devices and application solutions which leverage the enterprise IT environment.
    Anticipate and react to major device and application acquisitions to ensure the delivery of business goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of IT enterprise infrastructure technologies, architectures, interactions, and integrations.
  • Ability to quickly assess cost proposals and identify opportunities to reduce costs and limit cost growth.
  • Understanding of data network, voice network, circuit systems, server and storage systems, contact center, data center and cloud architectures.
  • Must have current working knowledge of industry developments and directions as they pertain to infrastructure technologies.
