$33.090 - $42.697 - $52.303The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
The Employee Relations Analyst, under the direction of the System Director/Manager of Employee Relations uses professional employee relations concepts and applies organization policies and procedures to perform a wide variety of job functions to assist the System Employee Relations (ER) Team and facilitate employee relations for the Sharp enterprise. This position is responsible for all phone, email and electronic case management (ECM) intake and management, including issuing acknowledgment communications to various parties. This position is responsible for scheduling meetings among necessary stakeholders while adhering to policy/union/legal deadlines. This position will independently answer low-to-moderate complexity questions regarding policy interpretation as well as track and/or facilitate investigations. This position is responsible for intake and processing of corrective action case initiation while working with other LER/HR/entity professionals to collect data and/or prepare analytic reports. Report creation includes but in not limited to ER unit metrics, Sharp employee data sets in response to authorized/approved inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- 2 Years Progressive Human Resources or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) - HR Certification Institute -PREFERRED
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) - Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) -PREFERRED
Other Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; or 4 years related experience in a complex HR environment, preferably in a Healthcare setting. - Required
Essential Functions
- Daily Operations
Exercises independent judgment within defined guidelines in order to provide administrative and analytic support to the Employee Relations unit.
Responsible for intake and processing of corrective action cases submitted by management and working with other LER/HR/entity professionals to collect data and/or prepare analytic reports. Report creation includes but is not limited to Employee Relations unit metrics, Sharp employee data sets in response to authorized inquiries.
Analyzes Employee Relations unit data to identify meaningful trends and distills complex information into key insights and creative solutions; this includes contributing to the creation and maintenance of a Sharp 'ER Wiki' for FAQs.
Prepare, send, and maintain analytic reporting capabilities in this function for trend analysis in the ER space. - Internal/External Customer Service
Responsible for all phone, email and electronic case management (ECM) intake and management, including issuing acknowledgment/follow-up communications to various parties.
Partners with other Sharp Human Resources units and Sharp enterprise colleagues to provide seamless customer service solutions for Sharp client departments/units to help ensure Sharp is the Best place to work, Best place to practice medicine, and the Best place to receive care. - Department Support
General administrative unit management including but not limited to: maintain supplies and equipment; package sending/receiving; assist with travel coordination and reimbursement; assist with submission of invoices for payment as needed; manage conference room and hoteling office calendars as needed.
Provide administrative support to the Employee Relations team including but not limited to scheduling investigation meetings as well as gathering and organizing information/data in preparation for the above.
Supports the Sharp organization and all entities during labor actions.

As part of the regular responsibilities of this position, the incumbent sees confidential documents which are used by Sharp Healthcare, the Sharp enterprise and management personnel in developing positions related to collective bargaining; attends meetings where Sharp Healthcare's and Sharp enterprise management positions and strategies regarding collective bargaining issues are discussed and gathers data important to the formulation of management positions in collective bargaining.
