Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$49.377 - $63.712 - $78.048


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
The Project Implementation Coordinator within IT is responsible for project initiation, planning, design, development, review, implementation, and closeout. Ensures adoption and adherence to the Sharp PMO standards. Ensures that project requirements are clearly defined and approved and that expected solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope. Exercises discretion with independent thought and judgment. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 Years experience leading and coordinating projects.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 Years experience in a health care system.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification - Various-No accreditation board -PREFERRED

Other Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related area preferred. Relevant experience or training in excess of three (3) years may be substituted for degree.
    • Attain industry recognized Project Management Certificate within one year, preferred.

    Essential Functions
    • Communication
      Communication competency statement: Ensures effective communication with stakeholders.
      Identifies key stakeholders who are internal and external to IS. Includes various stakeholder roles, for example, process owner, approver, resource, team member, or interested party.
      Uses a variety of written and oral communication tools and techniques that are appropriate for the message and the audience. For each stakeholder, the goal is that they receive the communication they want and that it is delivered when and how they want to receive it.
      Develops and achieves consensus on communication plans.
      Evaluates communication plans and refines processes for improvement.
      Works with client leadership in obtaining input on projects and enhancements.
      Coordinates interactions with key vendors.
      Proactively communicates completion dates. Ensures adequate communication of project related issues.
      Shares ideas and information with others who might find them useful.
    • Leadership
      Leadership competency statement: Exercises leadership role with staff and clients to promote customer satisfaction and staff development.
      Exercises discretion with independent thought and judgment.
      Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
      Facilitates resolution of project conflicts through effective communication and interaction.
      Provides guidance to staff regarding work performance and business operations.
      Mentors junior staff.
      Manages client expectations and priorities through effective communication and interaction.
      Proposes and implements creative solutions to problems.
      Manages interactions with clients to ensure understanding, agreement and attainment of project goals. Communicates completion dates and delays proactively.
      Trains new IS staff in project management system functions and operations in order to maximize user effectiveness and utilization of systems.
      Cross-trains with other departments.
      Stays current by reviewing the need for refresher or update training at least once annually and provides or coordinates training as required.
      Ensures successful delivery of project solutions by effectively leading project team members and managing project stakeholder expectations.
      Manages the activities of the project team members.
    • Problem analysis and resolution
      Problem solving and analysis competency statement: Utilizes effective and creative problem solving techniques within Information Systems accepted framework to develop quality services and resolve problems.
      Uses effective interviewing skills to elicit client requirements in problem solving.
      Analyzes client workflow to determine required data for problem analysis and resolution.
      Using sound knowledge of business, strategic, and IT strategies, translates business requirements into system solutions that meet project requirements.
      Performs a thorough problem analysis using sound judgment, initiative, and own discretion.
      Analyzes user needs/requirements through a variety of appropriate methods such as: on-site visits; review of department policies/procedures; review of system capabilities; ensuring attainment of optimal functionality; user satisfaction.
      Conducts business continuity, business impact analysis and risk assessments of essential functions to develop viable solutions related to resources, processes and technology.
      Develops a comprehensive analysis of pros/cons and implications of proposed solutions.
      Demonstrates strategic and forward thinking by conducting thorough analyses of integration points.
      Seeks out required data for problem analysis and resolution.
    • Project management
      Project and portfolio management competency statement: Demonstrates consistent and effective application of Project Management methodology to manage projects and team portfolios.
      Establishes strong working relationship with director, oversight managers and project owners to establish project requirements and timelines to ensure completion within target dates as agreed upon with all stakeholders.
      Establish end user requirements and project scope based on industry best practices and operational needs.
      Prepares and maintains project management plans with agreed upon scope, timelines, and resource assignments.
      Identifies and prioritizes projects with project teams and management to facilitate effective portfolio management. Negotiates resources for specified projects.
      Coordinates communication to interested/impacted parties as required by management.
      Negotiates to obtain consensus and approval on required project changes.
      Proactively monitors and reports project performance using approved tools and dashboards.
      Manages projects utilizing approved project methodology.
      Provides mentoring and training to department to ensure appropriate and consistent use of project and resource management tools.
      Tracks and conducts lessons learned opportunities for continuous improvement.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Must have strong leadership, verbal, and written communication skills and experience.
    • Must be able to calmly and professionally respond to frequent deadlines for reports and related tasks, and to prepare work and presentations on short notice.
    • Uses telephone frequently; must be able to hear and speak clearly by telephone.
