$72.422 - $93.448 - $114.474The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
Provides leadership and operational management within the Sharp Memorial Hospital and Outpatient Endoscopy Services, Accountable for planning, controlling, and coordinating the ongoing development and operations of the endoscopy units. Maintains the quality of care and safety within the programs. Contributes to budget and marketing development and maintains responsibility for achieving budgetary and marketing objectives. Has discretion to establish plans and recommend policies, priorities and procedures provided that the activities are consistent with the Sharp HealthCare mission, values and philosophies, the Sharp Experience, operating policies, procedures and practices
Required Qualifications
- 2 Years management
- 3 Years clinical experience in endoscopy services
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED

- Bachelor's Degree
- Master's Degree
Essential Functions
- Provides daily work direction, supervises staff, including hiring, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals, to achieve level of care and organizational objectives. Achieves a work environment that embraces the Sharp Experience behaviors and standards.
- Assures that customer service targets are met.
- Develops, recommends, and implements unit level policies and objectives to support the annual operations plan.
- Assures quality of care and compliance with internal standards and regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Promotes and follows safety regulations and standards.
- Contributes to budget development and maintains responsibility for achieving financial outcomes and target goals. Assures that productivity is tracked and maintained.
- Evaluates and plans for technological advancements to ensure highly competitive services.
- Participates in the strategic planning process for units, including marketing, business development, and evaluation of programs.
- Promotes staff accountability and empowerment through the Sharp Experience, and other formal and informal mechanisms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Managerial/Supervisory Skills Two or more years in a nurse leadership position. Demonstrated ability to plan, design, and implement and evaluate one's own work, and to work independently with minimal observation or supervision. Demonstrated ability to remain flexible in rapid changing environment and current healthcare dynamic climate.
- Human Relations Skills — Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to work collaboratively with multiple others of diverse cultures, education background and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of team building skills and principles of self managed work teams and healing cultures.
- Political Process Skills — Ability to function well under conditions of current environment; ability to collaborate with multiple others; ability to build partnerships with physicians and others. Ability to analyze and problem solve, as well as manage solutions at a detailed level.
