Work Shift: Variable - This position is eligible for PM Shift Differential of $2.25 or Night Shift Differential of $2.75 for eligible hours worked.
What You Will Do
The Transcriptionist/Editor will type diagnostic reports utilizing the experience and professional judgment required to support the mission and goal of Sharp HealthCare.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in imaging transcription.
- Preferred experience with Powerscribe One, FUJI Synapse PACS, Microsoft Office applications

Assists in training new employees.
Informs supervisor when available for additional assignments. - Demonstrates dependability
At workstation ready to work at assigned time.
Using and planning personal leave time according to Departmental guidelines.
Completing work in a reliable, cost-effective manner, requiring minimal supervision.
Follow P&Ps for transcription work types and putting into effect new P&Ps sent out via email or discussed at Department meeting. - Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
Accepts new assignments.
Accepts changes in workload.
Accepts changes in policies and procedures.
Helps out with other job duties as needed within the Department. - Record accuracy
Demonstrates keyboarding ability and proper operation of computer and transcribing equipment.
Accurately transcribes diagnostic reports for all Imaging modalities.
Verifies the accuracy of transcription including spelling, format and appropriate terminology.
Accurately retrieves, edits, and saves addended reports.
Maintains a minimum monthly average of dictations a month.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to type/edit diagnostic reports.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff.
- Ability to consistently follow the direction of the lead customer service representative, demonstrates adaptability, flexibility, cooperation, and maintains an attitude of professionalism.
- Ability to strictly adhere to all hospital and departmental safety regulations, guidelines, policies, procedures and protocols.
